This American Art form,Jazz was developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and has changed drastically as the years progressed as new artist brought their own ideas to the forefront. Many artist have had varying degrees of influence on this music. While some have had great and major influences on art form. One can say with confidence that Charlie Parker’s fast improvisational playing , Miles Davis who was constantly innovating his musical style and changing his band to achieve the sound he wanted, both has big influences on Jazz. Coltrane, Ellington Goodman, Gillespie, Tatum and Monk can also be listed as players with a sound and style that made positive changes to Jazz. Most definitely there are many others. What about the influence of players like pianist Cecil Taylor and saxophonist, trumpeter and composer Ornette Coleman. However there can be little argument that Louis Armstrong has been the most influential Jazz Musician.
